Israel election commission finds no fraud in disputed vote
Israel's election commission said it found no evidence of fraud in last week's vote, rejecting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's unsubstantiated claims.
Israel's election commission said on Wednesday it had found no fraud in last week's vote, dealing a blow to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's unsubstantiated claims that Arab-led parties had 'stolen' the election. The results showed Netanyahu's religious-nationalist bloc losing its parliamentary majority. A separate investigation by the Shin Bet intelligence service into allegations of foreign interference is ongoing.
